Wind news for wind power enthusiasts.

: about

Wind Letters is made in New York by a renewable energy enthusiast to cover and debate relevant news and opinion about the offshore wind and related industries. This blog discusses critically how [but not if] the U.S. can reach the goal of 100 GW of offshore wind power on the path to replace fossil fuels to prevent a climate collapse.

Anja Limperis grew up in Thuringia, East Germany and moved to New York in 1997. She started out as a local reporter in the early 1990s covering the political transition period during and after the German unification (Südthüringer Zeitung, Sächsische Zeitung, Freies Wort). After relocating in New York, she has been reporting for German newspapers (Die Zeit, Frankfurter Rundschau, Basler Zeitung, Freies Wort) and covers renewable energy since 2008 mainly writing for industry magazines (Sun & Wind Energy, Offshore Wind Energy).

She graduated from Leipzig University (1998) and the science journalism program at the Columbia Journalism School (2008).
